The Johns Hopkins Hospital-Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service seeks a nursing team member to support a group of five gynecologic oncologists in the care and management of gynecologic cancer patients receiving surgical, medical and chemotherapy services. Nursing responsibilities include a variety of skills including oncology nursing triage, care coordination, patient education and chemotherapy expertise within ambulatory, inpatient and administrative settings. Candidate must be highly motivated and committed to learning new skills necessary for the care of our unique patient population. Additional opportunities exist for active nursing involvement in special projects in collaboration with medical providers and trainees.
Shifts: 8 hour day shifts; M-F
Qualifications:
- BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
- RN work experience required
- Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff, hold self and others accountable, act as a clinical resource, coach staff, lead QI/EBP initiatives, and support the unit operationally in the absence of the Lead Clinical Nurse / Nurse Manager.
- RN work experience with OB/GYN or perinatal specialties are preferred.
